Especially organized religions.  There was a huge scandal in Brazil in regard  the Universal Church of God whose evangelical leader, Bishop Edir Macedo has become one of the richest man in the country out of the exploitation of the most disadvantaged people of Brazil. It is incredible how the use of religion on desperate people serve as a tool for social control.
